Later this month a star studded line-up will descend upon Silverstone for the circuit’s three-day Silverstone Classic event, and Continental Tyres will be very much in the thick of the 2-wheel action.
This will be the second time in as many years that World GP Bike Legends has joined the Silverstone party, which promises to be a fantastic event for fans of motorcycles and cars alike.
More than 100,000 spectators are expected at the Northamptonshire track from 28th to 30th July in what is described as the largest motor racing festival in the world.
The weekend will feature a very special race of legends which will see top riders Wayne Gardner, ‘Fast’ Freddie Spencer, Niall MacKenzie, Phil Read and Freddie Sheene, the son of the late World Champion Barry Sheene in action.
All five riders will be piloting the very latest YZF-R1 from Yamaha, each finished off in classic colours and decals and fitted with Continental ContiSportAttack 3 tyres fitted by IDP Moto.
World GP Bike Legends made the decision to fit the ContiSportAttack 3 because of it’s excellent performance in all weather conditions, along with it’s outstanding durability and consistency. The long lasting performance will see the tyres used at a number of events on the Yamaha machines following their debut at Silverstone.
These characteristics also make the ContiSportAttack 3 the tyre of choice for California Superbike School UK, allowing their instructors to offer high level tuition come rain or shine.
The ContiSportAttack 3 is our flagship hypersport tyre, ideal for use on the road and for the occasional track day.
We can’t wait to see the bikes in their classic liveries later this month, and will be sharing some images as soon as they are ready.
