Joe Walton Eazi Grip racing three sisters

Eazi-Grip’s Joe Walton continued his impressive form in the Preston & District MCC Minitwins series at Three Sisters last weekend with four podium finishes from four races.

The skies above the Wigan circuit were bright and sunny on race day, as the majority of Britain continued to enjoy the late summer sun that has made a welcome appearance in the last couple of weeks.

Qualifying saw the Suzuki suffer from a few teething problems early on, but with some assistance from his supporters, they were soon ironed out and Joe landed himself a spot on the front row of the grid.

An excellent start in race one still wasn’t quite good enough to secure the race win he had been hoping for, something which just managed to elude him all weekend despite some impressive lap times.

The final Minitwin race of the weekend proved to be a more eventful one, as a coming together of bikes saw Joe’s fairing smashed and bracket broken. Only just managing to hang on, Joe quickly regained his composure to ensure he didn’t lose any more ground on the front two riders, bringing the battered Suzuki home in 3rd place.

A final round takes place next month, with Joe still in contention for the Minitwins title, and with only some cosmetic damage to the bike after this round, there will be no reason why he won’t make the grid to take a shot at title glory in October.

Congratulations to Joe and his team on their results at the weekend.
