Following their 2013 FIM European Class Series win last year, world renowned Phase One Endurance are enjoying a mid season break lying a healthy second place in the 2014 standings sitting just behind the Team Force bike of Gregory Fastre & Richard Hubin, who also use the ContiRoadAttack 2 CR classic race tyre.
Phase One are aiming to retire the championship winning Peckett & McNab Kawasaki bikes at the end of this year, pushing ahead with the development of a new generation of P&M GSX-1100 Suzuki race bikes for 2015.
Work on a prototype Suzuki is already well underway, with the new bike producing an additional 14 break horsepower already, with an additional weight increase of just 3kg. In order to push this project forward, Team Principal Russell Benney has identified the need for more keen, driven team members and this has opened up some excellent opportunities for volunteers who want to add something new to their CV, and enjoy some time on an international race series scene.
“We can offer great opportunities for volunteers to learn the art and science of race preparation, travel across Europe and be part of a great social scene to boot”, says Benney.
Phase One are looking for anyone with “common sense and a bit of drive” from cooks and timekeepers, right through to mechanics, fuellers and electricians. Based in Somerset, past volunteers have regularly traveled down from as far away as Manchester and London for a weekend work in.
