adventure bike road tyresIn the 18th March 2015 edition of MCN, Web Producer Liam Marsden is reflecting on his past year on his Suzuki V-Strom 1000 long term test bike.

In that time, Liam has covered almost 18,000 miles and has also tested six different sets of tyres on the big V-twin too.

He has regularly commuted from Peterborough to Yorkshire, upset some sports bike riders at a Silverstone track day, and been all the way to the set of Star Wars in Tunisia, so it’s certainly been a thorough test….

After trying the Avon Storm 3D X-M, Bridgestone Battlewing & A40 Adventure as well as the Michelin Pilot Road 4 Trail, Liam concluded that his “favourite tyres of the year” we’re the ContiRoadAttack 2 EVO sport touring tyres, which also come in sizes for big adventure bikes used on the road.

Suzuki V-Strom tyresLiam also rated the ContiTrailAttack 2, and commented:

“The V-Strom and I really gelled with these tyres. They provided bags of confidence, resulting in peg-scraping angles of lean on a daily basis. Good in the wet, too.”

After almost 18,000 miles on the bike, Liam has certainly had plenty of time to think about his choice too.
