With a full range of adventure tyres for all terrain types, Continental have been a very popular choice for riders of the new Honda Africa Twin since it arrived in the UK early last year.
In the latest edition of Motorcycle Sport & Leisure, rider Mikko Nieminen has been updating readers on his long term DCT model which has now covered more than 12,000 miles.
Mikko has just changed to the ContiTrailAttack 2, and here’s it’s fair to say he’s been suitably impressed:
“I fancied something a bit more road-oriented, with good wet grip for the winter.
After a bit of research I decided to go for the Continental ContiTrailAttack 2 tyres.
The new tyres proved an instant success. They offer great levels of grip on both dry and wet roads, and there are no vibrations at any speeds; the rubber provides a smooth and carefree ride.
They are dual-purpose, but I haven’t taken them off-road yet, and to be honest I doubt that I will. The pattern is road-biased and even with the blockier Pirellis I was sometimes left wanting more on trails, so I’m going to stick to the smooth(ish) black stuff for now.
So far I’ve done over 1,000 miles on the Contis, and found them the best road tyres for the Africa Twin that I’ve tested so far.”
