The first round of racing at Darley Moor got underway last weekend, with rider Tim Poole #142 supported by In Front Motorcycles of Chester taking to the field on his Ducati 1096 shod with ContiRaceAttack Slick tyres.
With 21 races to get through the organisers had plenty to do, with Tim taking part in three of these races.
In the first round of the Peak Cup, Tim started from pole position after a strong performance in qualifying and fought off challenges from Jim Hodson in 2nd and Mark Littler in 3rd to win the race by 0.29 seconds.
Race 7 saw Tim take to the field in the open solos, and in a repeat of the first race he held off strong challenges from Jim Hodson and Mark Littler to take the win by 0.48 seconds with a fastest lap of 57.10 seconds, averaging 94.57mph on lap two.
After a brief break Tim started his final race of the weekend, again from the front of the grid in round two of the Peak Cup. Again Tim led from the front despite the constant threat posed by Jim Hodson and Mark Littler, taking both the race and the fastest lap to leave him top of the standings in both the Peak Cup and the Open Solos after the first weekend of races.
Following the fantastic results, James Powell of In Front said via the company Facebook page that the performance by Tim on ContiRaceAttack Slicks was “something for people to take note of” in terms of their performance against other brands. He then went on to say of Tims performance “3 wins, 3 fastest laps! ALL on conti slicks which he loves.”
Keep up the fantastic work Tim, and bring on the next round of racing!
