After a very successful opening round of racing at Jurby on the Isle of Man competing in the Andreas Racing Classics Championship, Keith McKay of Darvill Racing took to the track again for the second round aboard the teams torque filled classic Kawasaki ZR-1 shod with ContiRoadAttack 2 CR classic race tyres, as used by all the top three teams in the recent first round of the European Classic Bike Series.
The weather conditions were challenging, with Keith commenting that all four seasons must have been and gone over the course of the weekend. Following some rider feedback from the first round the team made some adjustments to the suspension setup to allow them to use even more power whether or not the bike is bolt upright.
Keith’s strong start to the season continued as he raced home to three first in class finishes in the first three races, and if it hadn’t been for spark problem in the final round of racing that prevented the team from finishing then it might well have been four!
Following the race Keith said “the RaceAttack tyres again did the bizz in all the conditions we had through the weekend”.
Great work from Keith and the whole team at Darvill Racing, we cant wait to see what happens during the next round!
