Bikers Classic Spa 2011

For the first time ever Continental presented a brand new development in the 18-inch range in the dimensions 110/80 ZR and 150/65 R18 to the Classic scene. In this connection rear tyres were not only supplied as a standard model for cold and wet long-distance races, but also with an Endurance Race-tyre-compound, which can also be used in the 17-inch range for providing even more grip at the rear wheel.

In a racing distance of four hours Team Scuderia-ACR 3 – with pilots Ralf Wobker / Bernd Fohne on a Kawasaki Z 1000 – finished in a very good second place. Proving not only that the newly developed tyre in the 18-inch range can keep up with competitors, but represents a high performance racing tyre “Made in Germany”. Grip, handling, dynamics and high performance are ensured and optimized by the newest Conti technologies as Continous Compound, Dynamic-Ride, Black Chili and Traction Skin, especially for Classic Bikes. From an overall of 70 started teams, the following ones chose Continental tyres and ranked:

  • 2nd – Scuderia-ACR 3 – R. Wobker/B. Fohne – Kawasaki Z 1000
  • 6th – Phase One Endurance – P. Lindén/H. Brasher – Kawasaki Z 1000
  • 13th – Team – T. Hofmann/T. Schuler – Moto Martin GS 1000
  • 34th – Boldorclub-Classic-Endurance – A. Peck/J. Rohde – Honda RCB
