There’s no doubt about it, the Suzuki SV650 is a great bike – and it’s probably close to icon status considering how long it’s been around.
A fantastic blend of performance and price and very easy to ride, the Suzuki opened up a new market in 1999, a perfect option for new riders looking at their first big bike.
This year, MCN Editor Tony Hoare has been testing the very latest SV650 and after running it in and crossing the 600-mile first service off his to-do list, he’s now got the chance to put the bike through it’s paces.
With a mere 75bhp at it’s disposal, the Suzuki V-Twin is never going to set a new land-speed record, but it certainly gives you that rewarding feeling when you’ve had to work hard for your speed.
As well as having the bike serviced, Tony has also fitted a set of the latest ContiSportAttack 3 tyres and in their 8th June 2016 issue he says:
“Suddenly greater lean angles opened up, small bumps were absorbed to the point of non-existence and shorter warm-up times boosted my confidence. The SV and I were getting going.”
We’re looking forward to further updates from Tony as he puts more miles on the bike and tyres in the coming months.
The ContiSportAttack 3 is our latest hypersport tyre as is the official choice of California Superbike School UK. Since it’s launch it has topped a leading European magazine test of the latest hypersport tyres.
