Forget Dancing on Ice, later this month’s we’ve got Racing on Ice instead!
Late last year we teamed up with IDP Moto in Silverstone, who prepared a number of Harley-Davidson Street Rod 750 motorcycles for Snow Quake.
The third edition of Snow Quake took place at the Ice Ring Rosa, high in the Italian Alps.
A crazy idea spawned by the people behind the annual Dirt Quake event, Snow Quake takes extreme to another level as riders pit their skills against one another in freezing temperatures.
Entrants this year included popular bike journalist John Hogan and former MotoGP rider Ruben Xaus, both of whom got the chance to race one of the modified Harley’s around the treacherous circuit.
Each Street Rod 750 was fitted with a set of TKC 80 tyres, which were then modified by the inclusion of several hundred metal studs spread across the multiple tread blocks on each tyre.
Highlights from the event will be shown on ITV 4 on 7th February at 8pm – so don’t miss it!
If you can’t wait that long, here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store:
