Last weekend saw the penultimate round of the annual FFM Road Rally championship take place with the challenging Rallye des Coteaux in the Ardeche region of south-east France.
This year’s event featured a new sector which took participants through the stunning Doux Valley, with riders covering 336km on stage one and 156km on stage two.
With championship rival Luc Breban winning the recent Rallye des Dourdou, a good result was essential for Continental brand ambassador Bruno Schiltz who was looking to defend his 2018 Maxi Rallye title on his Aprilia 1100 Tuono V4.
The first stage of the race took place on a very narrow, tight course, while the second leg was wider, but more bumpy and technical. However, Bruno was able to impose himself upon the race in the latter phases and put in a fantastic performance to take the overall win at the end of the night time sector.
With one final round to go, Bruno needs just eight more points to secure back-to-back titles with the support of Continental, riding on our popular ContiRaceAttack Comp treaded race tyres.
We wish Bruno the very best of luck in the final race of the season!
