Keen to prove the versatility of their bargain priced Tracer 700, last year Yamaha challenged Nick Sanders to ride the bike across Europe into Asia, with the aim of reaching the Mongolian capital city Ulaanbaatar.
Not being the kind of person who can say no to a challenge, Nick duly accepted, and documented every aspect of his journey – the people he met, and the places he was lucky enough to visit.
Since his return last Autumn, Nick has spent much of his time putting pen to paper and looking through thousands of images to release a brand new book about his most recent adventure.
Only just released, the new book ‘Russia. Mongolia. Motorcycle. Me.’ captures the very essence of solo travel across vast, often bleak landscapes.
If you’re a fan of Nick and his travel books, you can now order his latest release from NickSanders.com.
To celebrate the launch, Nick is also in the middle of riding to Mongolia on the Tracer 700 again, and you can follow his travels on Facebook.
For a trip like this, a versatile bike also needs versatile rubber.
For the tarmac sections of Europe, Nick uses the ContiTrailAttack 2 from our comprehensive range of adventure tyres.
Once the roads deteriorated, Nick then switched to a set of our hugely popular TKC 70 tyres (pictured) which offer increased levels of off-road grip without any sacrifice in durability.
