Our brand new ContiTrailAttack 3 adventure touring tyre arrived in the UK in late January, and since then they’ve been flying out of the warehouse to dealers up and down the country.
Available in sizes for a wide range of middle and heavyweight adventure machines, they use our proven RainGrip compound to offer improved wet grip and superior warm up times for all-weather riding performance.
The official press launch is still to come, but RiDE Magazine editor Matt Wildee has already got his hands on a pair, which he’s been testing on his Tiger 1200 long-termer.
In the new May issue of RiDE, Matt gives his first impressions of the new rubber:
“These new tyres are designed for adventure riders in what Conti calls the 90/10 segment, meaning they spend 90% of the time on the road and 1500 miles in, they have been impressive. This is the third-generation TrailAttack and features a new compound for more life and faster warm-up, a new construction and deeper tread.
So far these tyres have completed 1500 miles on RiDE’s long-term Triumph Tiger 1200 and the results have been quite good. When it comes to riding, they’re excellent; the steering is light and nimble, there is good feel and a confidence-inspiring nature that lets you take the bike by the scruff of the neck in any conditions, allowing safe, rapid riding.
They feel very safe in the rain, too – among the best wet-weather tyres I’ve ever used; they warm up quickly and retain heat even on cold days. So far, so very good.”

We’re looking forward to his full review once he’s piled on a few more miles…
