The legendary Nick Sanders is at it again – and this time he’s got his sights set on the Mongolian capital city of Ulaanbataar.
Even with the diary looking pretty full for next year with Mach 2 and Motorcycle World Challenge, Nick is already planning for 2018, and the 43-day Mongolia trip is due to depart on 1st June.
The second largest land-locked country in the world and the 18th largest country overall, Mongolia has a population of around three million people.
With a population not much larger than that of Greater Manchester spread across 604,600 square miles of terrain, there’s plenty of space and lots of fantastic riding to be had as you head for the capital.
Nick will be leading a select, hand picked group of riders all the way from Touratech HQ in Germany across Europe and into Central Asia, and the team expect to be back by 15th July after covering more than 10,000 miles , with road conditions worsening the further east they travel.
A long time partner of Continental, Nick has tested our complete adventure tyre range of his Yamaha Super Ténéré – and this sounds like ideal terrain for the dual-purpose TKC 70 which offers genuine off-road performance without compromising on road mileage and handling. The more aggressive TKC 80 will also be ideal for tackling any challenging terrain encountered on the trip.
You can find out more the Mongolia trip and even apply to join Nick for the ride of a lifetime via his official website.
If you’re heading to Motorcycle Live this year don’t forget to look out for Nick and his latest DVD release too!
