He has traveled around the globe on a Yamaha R1, written several books, built a travelling motorcycle cinema and runs his very own adventure centre in the heart of Mid Wales, but Continental rider and general motorcycling legend Nick Sanders still manages to find the time to lead expeditions across the continents to give other riders a chance to experience some of the things that he has seen throughout his extraordinary life.
This year Nick has three guided adventure rides planned to different parts of the world including:
Machynlleth to Mongolia
Leaving from his home in Mid Wales on May 3rd, this trip will cover approximately 14,000 miles over roughly six weeks as riders challenge themselves on a range of different terrains as they head for the Mongolian capital of Ulan Bataar.
Riders will be heading across the sea to mainland Europe for a brief stop in Germany, before heading down through Croatia, Albania, Greece and Turkey. Once leaving Europe riders will get to see Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan before finally pushing into the heart of Mongolia. The route back will take in a vast expanse of Russia, and a ride through the Baltics before returning on 15th June.
Leaving on 26th August and described as THE most exciting motorcycle expedition across America EVER Nick will be leading 21 riders round America for more than three weeks of motorcycling heaven. The route in based on previous trips led by Nick across the USA, but has been extended to take in even more sights including:
- Niagara Falls
- Bonneville Salt Flats
- Death Valley
- Route 66
- And much much more…
Covering 300 to 350 miles per day, the trip promises to find the America you’ve seen in the movies before returning on September 17th.
Announced in mid December, Nick is also planning a round trip from the UK to Morocco leaving in late September 2014.
