Our good friend Nick Sanders is launching his own motorcycle festival in 2016!
Overland legend, record holder and all-round nice guy, Nick told us that he has wanted to put on a festival in Machynlleth, Mid Wales, for many years. Not one for letting the opportunity slip to turn dreams into reality, plans for Mach 1 are already well underway!
Taking place from 26th – 29th May 2016 with camping in the town itself, the Mach 1 festival promises a Krypton Factor style treasure hunt for any kind of bike, whether is be classic, custom, sports, touring or adventure, along with an amazing atmosphere.
Talking about what riders can expect, Nick says:
“MACH 1 mixes brilliant biking in the fantastically quiet hill roads of mid-Wales and Snowdonia. Add superb family friendly any bike-orientated entertainment – a guest speaker, film of the TT, a magician at your table whilst you dine in a discounted evening High Street restaurant or cafe. It’s something incredibly very different. This is MACH 1, the new concept from Team Nick Sanders. The new concept of weekend-away biking.”
Riders can enter by themselves, with a pillion, or as part of a team of three. There will also be the option of small group ride-outs to take in some of the fantastic roads this area of the country has to offer.
As the official tyre partner of Nick Sanders, he has tested much of the Continental tyre range in some of the toughest riding conditions around the world, and they have always been more than up to the job – so a motorcycle treasure hunt in Mid Wales, not a problem!
