Barber vintage festival Junior Burrell

The Barber Vintage Festival, which takes place in Birmingham, Alabama is the largest custom and vintage motorcycle festival in the USA.

This year the award for the “Best Garage Built Cafe Racer” went to Junior Burrell of Texas, who converted a Honda CM 400 with the help of ContiGo! tyres.

To begin with, he cut the frame in two and then rebuilt it from there, adding an aluminium shell and tank along the way along with a new seat and exhaust system. All of the parts were crafted manually, and literally started out on the drawing board. The result is an absolutely beautiful bike.

The ContiGo! was the ideal choice for this bike, when the use of classic rims has traditionally limited the choice of tyres available. However in a wide range of sizes the ContiGo! is a great choice for fans of the cafe racing scene.

The ContiClassicAttack and ContiRoadAttack 2 CR are also excellent options for cafe racer and classic bikes, bringing the benefits of radial tyre technology to the scene in specially developed sizes.

Also from the USA, MotoCorsa in Portland have made use of our ever popular TKC 80 on/off-road tyre to turn the Ducati Panigale 1199S into something of an off-roader, with some pretty mean looking results. You can find out how they got on by checking out their video on youtube.
