On Saturday 25th April, anyone enjoying breakfast at the iconic Ace Cafe in London will witness the start of an epic 12,000 mile overland journey from London to Beijing, which is due to arrive in China on 13th July just in time for the grand opening of the country’s first ever Ace Cafe.
Continental partner GlobeBusters have organised this epic Ace to Ace journey, and expedition leader Kevin Sanders will be making his 6th trip along the legendary Silk Road of Asia. The route includes a trip to Everest Base Camp, and the opportunity to travel through Iran for the first time since 2011. In total 15 riders have signed up for the trip, all using their own bikes, and flying in from places as far away as Russia, South Africa and Australia.
Beijing will play host to one of a number of officially licensed Ace premises which are planned for Japan, North America and mainland Europe.
This year GlobeBusters have made the switch to Triumph, and will be riding the latest 1200cc Triumph Explorer. One thing that has not changed is their choice of Continental tyres, and they will be riding the new TKC 70, ideal for both on and off-road, and tested by GlobeBusters last year from Delhi to Bangkok.
GlobeBusters are inviting all riders to come and join them for the “ultimate burn-up” which leaves the Ace Cafe London at 9am on 25th April, with a police escort completing the spectacle.
