John Dieterman 3 sisters lap record

As all racers can attest to, a race bike is never truly finished!

However, after many late nights and busy weekends, Team Baxi Ducati’s latest steed is as close to finished as it gets.

Last month the team gave it a shakedown at the opening Preston & District Meeting at Three Sisters, with rider John Dieterman breaking a number of lap records in the process.

Since then they’ve made modifications to the exhaust system, fueling and suspension, and at last weekend’s second round they went even faster, despite using the same set of ContiRaceAttack Comp tyres that were fitted at the previous meeting!

Riding in both the Pre-Injection class and 401 – 1300cc Open class, John was unstoppable. The opening Pre-Injection race saw Dieterman cross the line a full 12 seconds ahead of his nearest rival, as he set an impressive 55.199s lap record on his two meeting old rubber. In the other class, John finished ahead of Mark Pattinson on both occasions, again putting in a new lap record with a 55.329s circulation.

This weekend the team head to Mallory Park, with Richard Blunt and Sam Cox both getting a chance to test the machinery before the three riders take on the European Classic Endurance at Spa in early July.

Also riding at 3 Sisters was Myerscough College’s Richie Harrison, who went 1 – 2 in the Formula 400 class on the student prepped machine, while also taking a chunk out of his Streetstock Evo personal best on the team’s WK125.
