Riding in two different series means that Martyn Bloomfield will rarely be off the bike in 2016.
Last weekend saw Martyn running in the Golden Era Supersport series with the Wirral 100 club at Oulton Park, as he looked to consolidate his position in the championship after a solid start at Anglesey several weeks ago.
Riding his Yamaha 600, backed by Chester based Continental dealer Everything But Bikes, Martyn was confident in the dry but chilly conditions at the Cheshire track.
Qualifying saw him start from 3rd place on the grid, behind fellow title contenders Barry Lee Evans and Tony Leach, the ContiRaceAttack Comp tyres on the Yamaha coping well despite the low temperatures.
A packed grid of 650 Twins and Golden Era riders saw a big battle in the opening moments of the race, as riders vied for space before it began to really open up.
Martyn made a strong start to the opening race and held on to 3rd place, with Leach dropping back to 5th and Jon Wright moving up to 2nd after a strong race. The second race was a carbon copy of the first, with the top five Golden Era Supersport finishers occupying the same spots once again.
Two solid podium finishes see Martyn placed joint second in the championship after two rounds, with more racing with Thundersport GB at Snetterton coming up this weekend in the same class.
Congratulation to Martyn and the EB Racing team.
