Track day coaching specialists and Continental partners California Superbike School have become the first on-track rider training provider in the UK to achieve a ‘Gold Standard’ accreditation under a new framework which has been designed to recognise the facilitation of structured on-track rider training and consultancy services to the Motorcycle Rider Training Industry.
This prestigious new accreditation comes from the Motorcycle Industry Association Accreditation Centre, both recognising and promoting specialist on-track rider training providers – with California Superbike School setting the benchmark with their professional training, superior facilities and equipment.
As part of the accreditation process, California Superbike School had to demonstrate the ability to provide specific structured learning programmes and specialist coaching techniques, all in a high quality training environment.
The school has invested heavily in their professional coaching team, and this is reflected in the quality of their training, and saw them gain high praise from the MCIAC assessor:
“There is no doubt that the California Superbike School UK are utilising excellent coaching techniques and are a benchmark for the aspirations of the wider motorcycle rider training industry’s desire to deliver ‘client centred learning’.”
The Motorcycle Industry Accreditation Centre (MCIAC) was developed by the Coventry based Motorcycle Industry Association in 2013. The Centre has also been approved by the highly respected Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI). The IMI provides qualifications for the motor industry, which are relevant, sector-specific and recognised world-wide.
MCIAC courses are recognised by the DVSA, the Government department responsible for driving and testing standards. The UK is the only country in Europe to have established such a framework, which should allow riders to find high quality training to improve both their on and off-road riding.
In 2016, California Superbike School will be riding their fleet of high spec Ducati bikes on the latest ContiSportAttack 3 tyres – our most advanced hypersport tyre to date!
Due to arrive in early 2016, you can find out more about them here!
