It’s official – the prestigious European Classic Series is coming to the UK!
Following extensive talks between DG Sports and the organisers of the UK based Endurance Legends event, the 2017 series will kick off with an opening round at Donington Park in May.
We’ve been a sponsor of the UK’s only 4-hour endurance race since it first started at Snetterton in 2015, and Donington Park was already shaping up to be bigger and better!
With top teams from across Europe expected at Donington during the first weekend in May, including UK based reigning champions Team Neate and the always dangerous Sweatshop Phase One, it’s an amazing opportunity for Endurance Legends entrants to ride alongside some of the best, or for spectators to watch all the classic 4-hour endurance action.
This year the European Classic Series organisers have dropped a visit to the Paul Ricard from their schedule, and following their inaugural trip to Donington the teams and riders will then head to Spa at the end of June for round 2.
A further round at Imola has been added at the beginning of September, with the Aragon finale expected at the end of October.
Last year teams running the ContiRoadAttack 2 CR classic race radial dominated the series, taking wins at all three rounds along with the series title.
We’d like to congratulate Rob and Darin on all their hard work, and you can find out more about the whole weekend at Donington here.
