Launched earlier this year the ContiRoadAttack 3 is our latest all-round sport touring tyre – and we’re pleased to report that it’s just topped another highly regarded independent test in Europe.
Shortly after the official launch in May, the new Continental recorded an impressive victory in the tyre industry’s most highly regarded sport touring test published by Motorrad Magazine.
In their September 2017 issue rival publication PS Magazine, also held in very high esteem by the tyre industry, published their comparative test of the latest sport touring tyres with the ContiRoadAttack 3 announced as the outright winner once again.
PS Magazine’s experienced test riders put six of the latest sport touring tyres through their paces on a Suzuki GSX-S750 in both dry and wet conditions around one of Bridgestone’s European test tracks.
- Continental ContiRoadAttack 3 – 277/300
- Pirelli Angel GT – 270/300
- Metzeler Roadtec 01 – 269/300
- Michelin Pilot Road 4 – 263/300
- Dunlop RoadSmart 3 – 263/300
- Bridgestone Battlax T30 EVO – 251/300
In the dry, the ContiRoadAttack 3 topped seven of the eight different elements of the test including performance from cold, handling, steering accuracy and grip levels. In total the tyre scored 187 from a possible 200 points in the dry.
One of the main areas we asked our design team to focus on during the development of the tyre was wet weather performance. They were extremely pleased to see that the ContiRoadAttack 3 scored 90 from a possible 100 points overall in the wet, coming either joint first or joint second in each element of the wet test.
Summing up testers commented that the tyre was “a good all-rounder that deals well with a sporty riding style.”
We have recently taken delivery of further sizes in the UK, so the ContiRoadAttack 3 is now available to fit a wider range of bikes than ever before from tourers to nakeds and even adventure motorcycles!
