In the May 2015 edition of Bike Magazine, they have been running our ContiRoadAttack 2 EVO sport touring rubber on two different bikes, and it would appear that they like what they are seeing!
After 5 months of riding, they decided to take their Kawasaki Z1000 for a lesson in rear suspension tuning to try and improve the bike’s bump absorption. Despite some bumpy rides thanks to the firm suspension, writer John Westlake said:
“The stand-out feature of these tyres is the wet grip, which is superb (Continental say this is because the Evos have more silica in than the standard RoadAttack2’s). Even the Z1000’s power and short gearing struggles to spin the rear in the wet, and they inspire huge cornering confidence. I’ve found they warm up fast in the cold weather too.”
Mike Armitage has also been testing the latest VFR800F from Honda, to see if they have created a “legend reborn or half-hearted rehash” of this superb piece of Japanese engineering. They decided to switch the stock Dunlop D222 rubber, and fitted the ContiRoadAttack 2 EVO which they said had “far better feel, superb wet and dry grip and good wear rates.”
The ideal all-round sport touring tyre!
