In August’s edition of Fast Bikes magazine, their popular Grip Advisor segment has been taking a closer look at the new ContiSportAttack 3.
Here’s what they had to say in the magazine:
“This is the new German rubber that all of the California Superbike School Ducatis are fitted with. We were impressed with the old version of the tyre, and improvements made to the new hoop address wet performance and contact patch size. Their life is also improved through a high proportion of groove to rubber in the central band. We also like the continued use of Traction Skin tech that makes run-in quick and non-knife-edge like. They’re primarily a road tyre, but as CSS are proving, they can be turned to take on the track easily. It’s not the stickiest tyre you’ll ever use, but it covers plenty of bases.”
The fact that it ‘covers plenty of bases’ is exactly why California Superbike School use the tyre in the UK – come rain or shine, and let’s face it, we get plenty rain, the coaches and students can carry on riding regardless. Our unique Rain Grip compound has also been specially formulated to offer optimum performance in the wet, even in lower temperatures.
The tyre warms up very quickly too, unlike dedicated track rubber which requires the use of tyre warmers, meaning you can use the new SportAttack 3 with confidence on a cold winter commute too!
