Wirral 100 club Anglesey 2016

After the torrential rain of Brands Hatch just a week ago, the warm and sunny conditions at Anglesey this weekend were a welcome site for Martyn Bloomfield of EB Racing.

After a mixed opening round at the opening round of his Thundersport season, Martyn was more determined than ever to bag some results at the first Wirral 100 meeting of the year.

Riding the P&C Pavers backed Yamaha R6 in the Golden Era Supersport and Pre-Injection classes, with support from Everything But Bikes of Chester, Martyn was right on the pace from the very first practice session.

Qualifying passed without incident, and the weather was holding firm ahead of the first race, not even a hint of rain in the skies above the Welsh coast to trouble the ContiRaceAttack Comp treaded race tyres.

Martyn put in a fantastic performance to take a 3rd place in the first Golden Era Supersport race, following that up with an excellent win.

He also bagged a 2nd and 3rd place in the Pre-Injection class, giving him some very solid points from the opening round of the season.

Congratulations to Martyn and the EB Racing team, who will be back in action at Donington Park at the end of the month in the second round of Thundersport GB.
