Thunderbike tyresIt was mixed weather conditions that BEMSEE riders had to contend with this weekend as they met at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire with its iconic Mountain for the 6th round of their season with a number of racers in action on ContiRaceAttack products.

There was a first ever Thunderbike win for Rotherham based rider Michael Copley (pictured) competing in the Clubman who put in a solid performance in the wet to take the class win, before he went on to take two further 3rd places and a 4th in class almost making it four podium finishes from four.

After taking three wins in the previous round at Donington Park in the Thunderbike UK series Medway based Luke Harris qualified in 3rd position for the 1st race, with fellow rider Oliver Fooks just behind him in 4th.

In the first race Luke picked up a 5 second penalty on the chicane, but after setting the fastest lap of the race he still took the 3rd spot on the podium. This was followed by another 3rd place and then a class win in the third Thunderbike UK race of the weekend to take top spot on the podium. He was also joined by Oliver Fooks who took a 3rd in class. There was also a string of consistent rides from Sarah Jordan in the Extreme class, who continually finished in the top five, with a superb performance in the wet too.

In the MRO Minitwins Northamptonshire based Kurtis Butler was looking to keep the pressure on at the top of the championship standings following a string of podium finishes in the last few rounds on ContiRaceAttack Comp street legal race tyres. Qualifying first in class, Kurtis picked up two second places followed by two third places to stay in the contention with fellow series contender Harry Truelove.
