After clinching the Rookie Minitwin Title last month, the seemingly unbeatable Cam Harris wasn’t anywhere to be seen as the season finale got underway at Snetterton last weekend.
In truth, with an investment in a bigger bike for the 2018 season looming, the decision was purely financial, but it did stir things up in Norfolk with several riders going all out to claim a rare win.
Following a recent visit to SDC Performance, Faith Fueled Racing’s SV650 ‘Mary’ was ready for action with rider Wil Green hoping to improve on a season best finish of 3rd at Brands Hatch.
The opening contest saw Dan Harris, also on ContiRaceAttack, challenging for the win, although he would eventually have to settle for 2nd, with Wil back in 5th. Dan would hold his position in race two to finish on the podium once again, this time joined by Wil who had fought his way up to 3rd.
The first of Sunday’s two races finished up the same way, with Wil pushing hard to get his nose in front.
When it came down to the final race of the year, Faith Fueled’s SV650 was right at the sharp end of the action, edging out Ed Watson and Dan Harris as Wil took his first ever race win. A difficult weekend for Jon Barnes finally ended on a more positive note, as he just missed out on a podium to take a well deserved 4th.
Congratulations to both Wil, Paul and the Faith Fueled team on a string of great results at the weekend, as well as the other riders involved.
We hope to see you all next season!
